There are few things that I am really good at in this life. Two of them are cooking on the grill and drinking beer. Though this may not seem like the defining qualities that make the perfect husband, my wife happens to love my cooking and appreciates a good brew. Which must be why she gave me one of the best birthday presents, the Beer Can Chicken Cookbook.

Now I have to say, I rarely use cookbooks when grilling, but this was too good to pass up. First off, the book itself comes in a beer can shaped container and comes filled with crazy beer can chicken recipes. Of course to some, just sticking a beer can up a chicken's butt and grilling it may already sound crazy, but that's only from those that have never tasted it. Trust me, however, some of these recipes are incredible! Spicy Peanut Chicken, Saigon Chicken, Stoned Chicken (not what you think!), and many others make your ordinary chicken a smash hit with friends and family. Not to mention it's the perfect excuse to keep plenty of beer on hand.

My poor old Weber. I'll always remember it fondly. Its rounded black lid, plastic wheels, and always-waiting grill were there for me when I needed it most. At parties, cookouts, fish fry nights .. those were the days, my friend. But alas, the years, constant use, and wicked weather took its toll.

Eventually one shiny Father's Day morning, a gleaming stainless steel beauty replaced my tired old BBQ compadre. She was stunning amidst the foliage of our house in the woods, reflecting the leaves and brush with the magnificence of a silver angel sent from heaven. I couldn’t wait to use her. I wanted to fill her up with burgers, brats, anything that would please her flaming desires. But I knew the weather combined with my flawed humanity would take its toll on her finish, so I humbly offered the gift of a Camouflage Grill Cover.

Its green and brown patterns blended with the surroundings and it fit perfectly. Now I fear not that the brutal hand of winter will cut down my beloved grill before her prime. I laugh at rain and mock the snow. For I know that soon, her flames will rise again, and I will be there right by her side.

I think this kayak is the perfect gift! I bought one for my husband as a Father's Day gift and he's used it more than any boring tie or coffee mug. He's always been the “outdoor type” and this gift was right up his alley.

We've always wanted to get a kayak, but had no where to store it and didn't want to deal with the trouble of hauling it around. I was so excited to see that this kayak is inflatable, which means we have room to store it in our garage, but can inflate it in no time when we're ready to use it. It also has a clear bottom so while you're enjoying the outdoors, you can also see the scenery underwater!

My husband never forgets to take it on our camping trips and loves to take our son out on the river every chance he gets. This is the best Father's Day gift I've ever bought. It will definitely be difficult to top this one next year!
