Upside down Christmas trees are festive and make great Christmas gift as well. You can find upside down Christmas trees and other unique decor at ChristmasTreesGalore.com.

video rockers

I was like you once. Thumbing through the catalogs and stopping on the page with the Multi Media Video Rocker. And yes, I thought the same thing: "Wow, that would be cool, but what's the point? My dingy uncomfortable couch is just fine." But out of sheer desperation for comfortable gaming, I gave in and bought it. I had to.

Backaches, thumb fatigue, finger cramps; I couldn’t take it anymore! What I didn't realize was just how awesome this chair is. It took gaming to a whole different level and then some. I can game, watch TV, listen to music, whatever I want and the 10-watt amp pumps the audio into two speakers right by my head for a stereo sound that truly rocks.

Sitting back into this chair with its multiple controls and modern design makes me feel like the captain of the USS Enterprise. Did I just drop a Trekkie reference? Why yes I did! And I don't even care because I'm kickin' tail and takin' names all in the comfort of soft Video Rocker luxury while you suffer and die on your crummy Star Wars beanbag chair. Wanna be cool like me? Bring over the energy drinks and I might even let you try it out.

Hanging Air Chair

When my wife first purchased our Burgundy Hanging Air Chair, I wasn't sure what she had planned. All I saw was canvas, poles and plenty of rope all strung together in some sort of kinky contraption. Curious, excited and yes a bit frightened, I wondered what I did that could have warranted such a reward. And when did my wife become so ... adventurous?

I soon realized that this seemingly erotic tool of bondage was actually an ingenious relaxation device. And so surprised and, ok, a little disappointed, I paid no attention to my wife's warnings and hopped right in. After a few moments of adjustment and helpful tips from my wife (who now thinks I'm a perverted moron), I was hanging in absolute comfort.

It's very similar to a hammock, but so much more comfortable to sit in than your average porch swing. It really does cradle every part of your body. Luckily, she bought two, so we can hang in comfort together.

Camouflage Grill Cover

My poor old Weber. I'll always remember it fondly. Its rounded black lid, plastic wheels, and always-waiting grill were there for me when I needed it most. At parties, cookouts, fish fry nights .. those were the days, my friend. But alas, the years, constant use, and wicked weather took its toll.

Eventually one shiny Father's Day morning, a gleaming stainless steel beauty replaced my tired old BBQ compadre. She was stunning amidst the foliage of our house in the woods, reflecting the leaves and brush with the magnificence of a silver angel sent from heaven. I couldn’t wait to use her. I wanted to fill her up with burgers, brats, anything that would please her flaming desires. But I knew the weather combined with my flawed humanity would take its toll on her finish, so I humbly offered the gift of a Camouflage Grill Cover.

Its green and brown patterns blended with the surroundings and it fit perfectly. Now I fear not that the brutal hand of winter will cut down my beloved grill before her prime. I laugh at rain and mock the snow. For I know that soon, her flames will rise again, and I will be there right by her side.

Manhole Rug Gift Idea

When I was a little girl, I loved going on walks through the neighborhood with my mom. Well, to be more accurate, I loved to ride in the stroller my mom pushed while she walked through the neighborhood; but I'd get out every now and then whenever I spotted a manhole. There, atop the cover, I'd do my signature dance, dubbed the "baby boogie," consisting of a bit of knee-wiggling and a lot of arm gesticulations.

Now, I'm happy to say I can fully reinstate the baby boogie without any walking, strolling, or my mom, thanks to Perpetual Kid's collection of manhole cover rugs, each a mere $23.99. These kitschy goodies bear the names of some heralded cities' sewers, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Paris, as well as a standard "Metro Sewer" design. Made entirely from recycled tires, these babies have a 2-foot diameter that makes them perfect for any doorway, kitchen, or cubicle. Check them out at www.perpetualkid.com.

Flameless Candles Unique Gift IdeaUnique Candle Gift

I had heard about flameless candles before, but I'd never bothered to wonder what they were or how they worked. I was looking for something unique to give my friend as a wedding gift when I stumbled on these, sold by The Sharper Image. And now I'm thinking I'm going to give them to everyone.

Flameless candles look just like the real thing. I thought they might be those cheesy plastic things with the "flame-shaped" lightbulb at the top, but these are much more advanced than that. They're actually made of real wax, and have the indentation at the top, complete with a wick, just like a burned candle. But inside is a tiny little LED bulb that flickers like firelight.

I ended up buying a few of these and including them in my friend's "honeymoon basket" present, which also included things like bubble bath, wine, and fancy cheeses. I thought that in a hotel on their honeymoon, my friend and her new husband might not be allowed to burn real candles, so this would help them create ambiance. They can also use them later on their outdoor deck, since these things last for years.

So, yeah, I'm now a flameless candle convert. I'm going to give some to my mom as a unique Mother's Day gift, because she is one of those people who won't burn candles because she's afraid she'll fall asleep with the flame going. She also has pets who might interfere with a real flame, and that could get dangerous. These are a great all-purpose gift.
